About Poor Posture & Structural Imbalance
What you should know
Posture is not primarily a habit — it is a structural condition. The position your body defaults to at rest is determined largely by the length and tension relationships in your fascia, the connective tissue that wraps every muscle and organ and links the entire body into a continuous three-dimensional web. When fascia shortens and thickens asymmetrically — as it does in response to injury, repetitive positions, and the accumulated stress of daily life — it holds the skeleton in a fixed, misaligned position that no amount of conscious effort can fully overcome. Rolfing Structural Integration is the only manual therapy specifically designed to address the fascial cause of postural dysfunction — releasing, lengthening, and reorganizing the connective tissue so the body can return to a more natural, upright alignment without effort.
Our approach
How Rolfing's Ten-Series Corrects Structural Posture

Victor Aguilar, certified at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute, uses the Ten-Series — Rolfing's systematic, session-by-session protocol — to address posture comprehensively. Each session works a defined region and layer of the fascial system, building on the previous session's changes. Sessions 1–3 open the outer layers of fascia — freeing the breath, releasing the legs and hips, and establishing the foundation. Sessions 4–7 work through the deeper core structures — the spine, pelvis, and hip flexors — reorganizing the relationship between the skeleton and the fascial sleeve. Sessions 8–10 integrate the changes across the whole body, teaching the nervous system a new, more efficient structural pattern. The result is not just reduced pain — it is a fundamentally different relationship between the body and gravity, one that holds over time because it is structural rather than muscular.
The Ten-Series may be appropriate if your posture has been a long-standing issue rather than a recent onset, if you have tried stretching, yoga, Pilates, or exercise-based approaches without achieving lasting structural change, if you have chronic pain that multiple providers have attributed to postural causes, or if you simply feel that your body is not aging well structurally and want to take a systematic approach to reversing that trend. Single sessions at $180. Three-session packages at $495. Ten-session series at $1,500 — the recommended approach for significant postural correction.
