What is High-Energy Induction Therapy?

High-Energy Inductive Therapy (HEIT) is a non-invasive therapy that uses focused electromagnetic energy to stimulate muscles and nerves without direct contact with the body. It is commonly used as part of a broader care plan to support recovery, movement, and overall wellbeing.

During a HEIT session, patients remain fully clothed while targeted electromagnetic pulses are delivered to a specific area of the body. These pulses may produce rhythmic muscle contractions or a tapping sensation, depending on the treatment area and settings used.

HEIT is often incorporated alongside chiropractic care, rehabilitation exercises, or other in-office therapies when recommended by your provider.

A Deeper understanding: Increasing Electron Spin

Newer cell phones are able to use Qi charging. Qi is wireless power transfer through induction, and is seen in the form of a mat or circular ring that the phone rests on. The electromagnetic field produced by the mat excites the electrons in the battery (makes them spin around faster), and recharges the battery inside the phone. PEMF is induction charging for the cells in the body

How HEIT Works

HEIT delivers focused electromagnetic energy that interacts with neuromuscular tissue. Unlike manual therapies or needle-based treatments, HEIT does not require skin contact or physical pressure.

The goal of HEIT is to:

  • Stimulate targeted muscles and nerves

  • Encourage neuromuscular activation

  • Support circulation and movement in the treated area

Some patients are familiar with PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy. HEIT uses similar electromagnetic principles but delivers higher-energy, more targeted stimulation, resulting in a more active treatment experience.

Important Notes

  • HEIT is not covered by insurance and is offered as a self-pay service

  • Results and responses vary by individual

  • Treatment selection and session length are determined by the provider

  • New patients may require an evaluation prior to receiving HEIT

If HEIT is not appropriate, your visit may be modified or redirected to another service.
