About Chronic Pain & Postural Problems
What you should know
Chronic pain and poor posture are rarely isolated problems. They develop over time as the body's connective tissue — the fascia — adapts to repeated stress, old injuries, and ingrained movement patterns. The result is a body that is chronically misaligned, with certain muscles overworking while others underfire. Standard treatments address the pain signal but not the structural pattern producing it. Rolfing Structural Integration works differently: it releases and reorganizes the fascial network that holds your body in its current shape, allowing the skeleton to return to a more balanced, efficient alignment. The relief that follows is structural — not just symptomatic.
Our approach
How Rolfing Addresses Chronic Pain and Postural Dysfunction

Victor Aguilar, a certified Rolfer trained at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute, works systematically through the body's connective tissue to release patterns of tension that have accumulated over years. Rather than treating isolated areas of pain, Rolfing maps and addresses the whole-body compensation patterns that are generating your symptoms. A typical course of Rolfing begins with an assessment of how you stand, move, and load your body. Victor then uses precise manual techniques to soften and rehydrate restricted fascia, separate tissue layers that have adhered, and restore length and space throughout the structure. For chronic pain patients, this often means addressing areas far from the pain site — because the origin of the problem is frequently not where the pain is felt. Sessions are 65–75 minutes and are typically structured as a series to achieve cumulative, lasting results.
Rolfing may be the right approach for you if you have chronic pain that has not fully resolved with chiropractic, physical therapy, or massage alone, long-standing postural patterns such as forward head posture, rounded shoulders, or anterior pelvic tilt, a history of injuries that seem to have left lasting compensation patterns in your body, or if you feel like your body is structurally out of balance and want a systematic approach to correcting it. Single sessions are available at $180. Three-session packages ($495) and ten-session series ($1,500) are also offered for patients pursuing deeper structural change.
