Does this sound like you?

If you recognize yourself in this list, an evaluation will tell you exactly what's going on — and whether shockwave therapy can help.

Book an evaluation
  • Pain along the inner edge of the shinbone during or after running
  • Tenderness or soreness along the lower two-thirds of the shin
  • Pain that starts at the beginning of a run and may improve — then return after stopping
  • Sharp or aching discomfort that persists beyond typical soreness
  • Pain that has not resolved with rest alone
  • Recurring shin pain with every return to training

About Shin Splints

What you should know

Shin splints — clinically known as medial tibial stress syndrome — is one of the most common overuse injuries in runners and athletes. It occurs when repeated stress on the tibia overloads the bone and surrounding connective tissue, causing pain and inflammation. When rest alone isn't enough and symptoms keep returning with training, focused shockwave therapy can help address the underlying tissue stress and support recovery.

Our approach

How We Treat Chronic Shin Splints

At Chiropractic Remedy, we use focused shockwave therapy to target the periosteal tissue and muscle attachments along the tibia to reduce pain and support healing.

Shockwave therapy may help by:

  1. 1Reducing periosteal irritation and bone stress response along the tibia
  2. 2Increasing circulation to the affected tissue
  3. 3Stimulating tissue repair at the muscle-bone attachment
  4. 4Decreasing chronic pain sensitivity in the lower leg
  5. 5Supporting a faster, more durable return to training

Shockwave therapy is non-surgical, drug-free, and requires no downtime. Many patients begin noticing improvement within a few treatments.
