Dr. Michael Hurst DC



Dr. Hurst is thrilled to be working in his childhood stomping grounds of Burbank, CA. His father, Brian
served in multiple roles at John Burroughs High School, from athletic director to vice principal. His
mother, Nancy Hurst worked as a counselor at Burbank High School.

Dr. Hurst graduated from CSU Long Beach in 1990 with a B.A. in Communications and minor in Finance.
Post-graduation he worked as a physical therapy aid for Felix Canout Physical Therapy where he found
his passion for sports therapy and rehabilitation. There he gained significant experience in learning
manual therapy. He enjoyed it so much he decided to go back to school and study chiropractic medicine.
He received his doctorate in Chiropractic in 2000 from Cleveland Chiropractic College. He has owned his
own chiropractic clinic “Hurst Chiropractic” since 2004.

Dr. Hurst has worked on a variety of sports-related injuries on professional athletes, collegiate athletes,
club soccer and swim teams. As a former collegiate water polo and swimmer he understands the wear
and tear training can have on an athlete’s body.

Dr. Hurst has a holistic approach to his practice, focusing on family health and nutrition in addition to
treating the body’s pain. His goal for patients is overall rehabilitation. Dr. Hurst is certified by the Titleist
Performance Institute for Golf fitness (TPI) Level 1, Selective Functional Movement Therapy (SFMT) Level
1 and the Running Clinic Level 1.

In his spare time, Dr. Hurst enjoys gardening, cooking, Dragon Boat paddling, and spending time with his
